Chinese art back in 10,000 BC mostly revolved around pottery and sculptures. After this Stone Age, many dynasties followed where different mediums were practiced, such as painting and wood printing. During the Republic Period, art was was used to promote the government, because they would more likely be commissioned. Today, Chinese art is continuing to grow in popularity through both contemporary and antique art.
